Women’s Health in Women’s Hands Community Health Centre prioritizes the primary healthcare needs of Black Women and Women of Colour of African, Caribbean, Latin American, and South Asian heritage. WHIWH-CHC's community-based Diabetes Education Centre (DEC) offers free diabetes prevention and support for Black Women and Women of Colour. With 20 years of experience, WHIWH-CHC has an all female team of experts: a Diabetes Nurse Educator, Dietitians, a Chiropodist, Nurse Practitioners, Doctors and Psychotherapists, who are not just working to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes, but who support the whole woman.
